Black Dog Veterinary Services is a full-service veterinary practice that offers unparalleled care for the Gallatin valley’s dogs, cats, and horses.

We offer high-quality, compassionate care at a reasonable price. We offer both traditional medicine and alternative therapies, such as acupuncture, chiropractic, rehabilitation, and laser therapy, as we find a well-rounded, holistic approach to medicine to best serve your pet’s needs.

Our Environmental Beliefs

It is the policy of Black Dog Veterinary Services to reduce our environmental impact as much as possible. All team members recycle all cardboard, paper, plastic, and aluminum products, rather than placing them in the landfill. We utilize reusable materials in place of disposable, so long as they can be appropriately sterilized when necessary so as not to compromise patient care.

An Eco-Friendly Practice

As of February 2019, Black Dog Veterinary Services plans to be a “paperless” practice, meaning all medical records will be electronic and all forms signed by clients shall be done electronically via the ezyVet practice management software. We ask all clients for email addresses such that reminders and communication may occur electronically as well.

We are currently scanning all past medical records and securely and properly disposing of the paper to reduce the carbon footprint within the building. Any new appliances that are purchased are to be high efficiency and use as little power as possible. Computers and all electronics that can be are turned off during closed hours to reduce energy use. The team is trained and encouraged to reduce waste; this policy is shared with team and clients alike via our website and within the practice itself.

This means we are part of the top 15% of hospitals in the United States and Canada that are held to a higher standard, and that your pet is receiving care at a hospital that has passed the highest standards in veterinary care.
