Australian native, Anita grew up on a large cattle station in Queensland, which in turn fueled her passion for animals at a very young age. Rescuing sick “Bunny Rabbits”, raising orphaned baby kangaroos, “Joeys”, nursing sick parrots back to health, raising orphaned calves “Poddy Calves”, milking cows, being chased by the pet Goose & spending as much time as possible with her horses… That was the life.

After school, Anita started working in her first Mix Animal Veterinary Practice when she was 18yrs old, after which she decided to pursue her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing. After moving to the USA in 2004, Anita was lucky enough to continue working in the field she enjoyed at Clinics in the Belgrade & Livingston areas. After taking a 12yr break to raise her two boys, work on the family ranch, start a dog breeding business with her Australian Cattle Dogs & volunteer as the Horse Program Leader for Park County 4H, Anita has once again been lucky enough to find employment at Black Dog Veterinary Services as their CSR. She thoroughly enjoys helping the staff at Black Dog care for all their clients’ four-legged family members. Outside the Clinic, Anita enjoys a multitude of indoor & outdoor activities such as, riding her horses – Winnie & Sunny, spending time with her 2 ACD’s Tragger & Jessie, listening to music, baking, wreath making & most of all…hanging with my boys.
